| A mini sport fishing clinic is offered each morning at the Marine
Resources Aquarium for individuals interested in participating in the rod-loaner
program. Training includes fish identification, equipment use, types of
bait, fishing laws, and angler ethics. The fishing equipment is available
for the day, free-of-charge, to trained anglers. This program will also
be offered on Burnt Island, as the northern and western shores lend themselves
to recrestional fishing. It will be recognized nationally because the Education
Division is sponsored in-part by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's
Sport Fish Restoration Fund. |
